We Have Carpet!

When I went by the house this morning, the carpet was in! We love it, considering it's carpet. If I had my way, the whole house would be tile and wood, but that costs a small fortune, so we're happy with the carpet. It really looks like a home, now! It's still pretty messy, but the painters will be in today doing touch-ups, and then the cleaning crew comes in. Our superintendent was pressure washing the garage this morning. Oh! And our gas is on, so when I went in the heater was on and the house was toasty warm. I also got to see the fire places lit up for the first time! Yeah! So excited!!!! Less than four weeks now!

Here's the dining area...

And the staircase...

And the loft...

Now all you have to do is plan where all your furniture will go and your interior decorating. Woo hoo! fun stuff.

Wow, look at all that carpety goodness. It's really coming together! I'm sure not soon enough for you, but at last...

It really is looking like a "real, live home". I can't believe it's less than four weeks away. And as far as the wood and tile, maybe you can comfort yourself that maybe ALL wood and tile would get kind of loud and echo-y with such an open plan house.

okay so that spot right at the top to the left, that is mine. . .so don't put any furniture in that spot. sooooo excited for you, i must smell so good in your house.

sarah-Oh, I've already planned, replanned, and then planned again. Seems I do my best work in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping.

david-Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to check extra well around the stairs.

steph-Carpety goodness...could be a new cereal.

miss vee-Very true, and the dogs would sound like tap-dancing cricket hoe-downs (my, I need some sleep) all the time.

alyssa-I'm glad to hear you smell nice in my house. The new carpet smells good, too!
